Before you travel and prior to your medical visit for surgery to Medicover in Budapest, Hungary please read through this section.
We would like to make your medical stay in our hospital as smooth and easy as possible, so we have listed a range of useful issues to help you organize your medical trip to Budapest, Hungary.

- Bring a copy of all your medical reports and a list of your medications that you are currently taking.
- If it is possible, get your CDs, MRI, CT scan, X-ray results and all diagnostic films that refer to your previous medical history.
- Bring a list of your current dosages and/or medication(s).
- Do not hesitate to contact our Medical Tourism Manager either per e-mail or on the phone should you have any questions regarding your medical trip to Hungary and your stay in our hospital. Let them know your flight details so that our managers can schedule your hotel reservations for your accompanying relatives of friends if needed.
- Before your medical trip abroad our Hmedical Medical Tourism Managers will provide you with all the information and details of your stay in our hospital,
- Fill in Hmedical’s medical questionnaire form in order to inform your surgeon about your medical history.
- The official currency in Hungary is Forint (HUF), but we accept only cash payment in EURO (€) or in British Pounds (₤). All major credit/debit cards are accepted at Hmedical without extra charge: Visa, Maestro, MasterCard Express, American Express and JCB. Please note that our hospital charges the Patient’s card in Hungarian Forints, using the daily exchange selling rate of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB).
- Interbank rates are different which will be shown on your bank statement.
- For payments with credit card, please ensure that you have sufficient funds and limit.
- Please bring your credit card with you when you attend your appointment.
- Carry one copy of your passport/visa in your wallet.
- Call your cellular provider to unlock for international use or confirm coverage.
